Guihulngan 1st City Fiesta 2008!!!

The conversion of the municipality of Guihulngan in the Province of Negros Oriental, Region VII, into a component city to be known as the CITY OF GUIHULNGAN, pursuant to Republic Act No. 9409, which was ratified through a plebiscite conducted by the COMELEC on July 14, 2007;

Indeed, the long wait is over and Guihulngan is now finally a city. Definitely, the guihulnganon’s are very proud of this major achievement and it opens the doors for opportunity and hope for the people and community. The Dream Is Now Become A Reality. It is a major achievement for all the people who live and aspiring that someday they will be able to realize their dream and conquer the success. A Million thanks to all the leaders who vehemently perform their duties and responsibilities and showed their extreme sacrifice to give their extended effort to realized the long awaited dream. The Guihulnganon’s would like to extend their warmest congratulations to beloved Congressman Josy Limkaichong, Mayor Ernesto Reyes & his Vice Mayor & the members of the City Council.

May 25, 2008, Guihulngan City commemorate’s its first City Fiesta, traditionally prior to the proclamation, the city celebrates their annual fiesta on the aforementioned date. Now, they will celebrate it for the first time as a city. It will definitely a major and explosive celebration to witness in this year’s festivity that people will witness. Known for its culture and tradition, the city is more popular of welcoming their guest and friends to offer different foods and dessert in the table ‘Ala Eat All You Can’. During night activities it will be a complete nightout for everyone…. full of beauties and glamour as you will turn you heads everywhere. With various activities from sports, pageant and other events that will satisfy your stay in the city that definitely, you will not crave for more.
