The three tertiary hospitals and seven secondary hospitals and a total of six primary hospitals comprise the health facilities in the province, providing both emergency and outpatient and inpatient services. The entire government health sector is manned by 36 physicians, 30 medical technologists, 68 nurses, 9 dentists, 538 rural health midwives and a total of 58 rural midwives.
